SDR is organizing a job fair on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to reconstitute its winning team. Fleming said people took advantage of unemployment benefits while they lasted, but they feel they’ve found a way to get people back to the workplace.

The steel dust recycling team needs 12 to 15 people to fill the positions within its staff and if these positions are filled as soon as possible; officials and workers believe operations will be a little smoother.

Getting people in the door is just the start. Fleming felt that with the perks and the family environment they have, people will want to stay.

“These are growth opportunities once you get into the business and we’re looking for people to not just come here and help us get through a rush. We are here for the long haul. We want people to stay with us until retirement, ”Fleming said. .
